- Your files sit in private cloud storage, not on a server of ours.
- No file has a public address. Each view is a one-off link the server signs for you after checking you are on the project, and it stops working five minutes later.
- Only people you invite by email can open a project, and that is re-checked on every request rather than once when they sign in.

What exactly do I get?
A workspace for one project's files. Everyone you invite reaches the same files, every upload becomes the next version instead of another copy, and comments sit on the file itself. Each file can also carry an owner, a deadline and a status, so you can see what is still empty without asking anyone.
How does it work?
You create a project and invite your teammates by email. They sign in with Google using that address and see the same board you do. Files upload straight from your browser, and each upload becomes the newest version of that file with the earlier ones kept underneath. A project holds 500MB, and a single file can be up to 50MB.
Why not just use Google Drive?
Drive stores files well, and if that is all you need it is a good answer. Two things get in the way for a team project. First of all, EntryHut supports not only files but also links which can connect to other works like github repository or figma board. So the team can view their works in one clean workspace. Also, for Google Drive, older versions are hidden behind a right-click menu and it needs to be done every time you upload new version of the file.
Why not Notion?
Notion is good for writing and planning, and plenty of teams should keep using it for that. It caps uploads at 5MB per file, so a presentation does not fit, and most teams end up linking to a Drive folder instead. That leaves the file in one place and the discussion about it in another.
Can people outside my team see our files?
No. Only the email addresses you invite can open a project, and that is checked on every request rather than once at sign-in. If you remove someone, they lose access immediately. Projects are not public and are not indexed by search engines.
What happens after the competition is over?
Everything stays where it is. Your files, their versions and the comments on them remain in the workspace, so you can look back at what you submitted or reuse a deck the next time round.
Is EntryHut finished?
No. It is open and it works, which is a different thing. One person builds it, so expect rough edges and things you might reasonably look for that are not here yet. What is here is the part teams needed first: the files in one place, every version kept, and comments on the file they are about. Nothing on this page describes something that does not exist.
Can I use EntryHut on my phone?
Yes. The site works on a phone, so you can check files and leave comments from anywhere. A dedicated mobile app is something we want to build.
